Software Engineering Department
Software Engineering Department

Our specialist team of engineers in our Software Engineering department have a strong focus on compliance and functional safety and are highly qualified to create and integrate tailored solutions based upon project requirements. Our experience and specialisation allow us to provide bespoke packages to our customers' specific demands.

That means that we will guarantee to comply to the stated capability of our projects as set out in the contract and provide additional functionality at request. As well as this we promise to perform on time, on budget, and to a consistently high standard. To achieve this, we will regularly liaise with clients and contractors over the course of a project.

We are available for all automation project enquiries including full or partial system updates, maintenance, system revival. And our services come complete with design documentation, developing control software, testing, commissioning, and handover. Plus, throughout the project’s life cycle we have full engagement with the clients and contractors.

We provide FAT, SAT, and our training services on site as well as fully remote access for our systems; we will provide our clients with an inhouse live video feed of the testing and training upon request to ensure all the system requirements are satisfied prior to production despatch.

Then there is our after-sales service, which is a something we pride ourselves upon, where we fully support our customers from start to finish, whether that be at-site or remotely.

Systems and Platforms Department
Systems and Platforms Department

Our engineers in our Systems and Platforms department are highly familiar with many IEC61131 Programmable Controllers. That means we can cater to your specific software needs with our experience of the various systems and platforms in the current market, including (however not limited to:

  • PLC vendors such as Siemens (TIA PORTAL, S7)
  • Rockwell (Allen Bradley)
  • Mitsubishi Electrica
  • Schneider Electric

Along with the integrated HMI platforms of WinCC, RSView, Factory Talk View, and Enterprise Control.

SCADA
SCADA

By utilising the powerful visualisation tool of Inductive Automation’s Ignition, our bespoke design SCADA monitors the entirety of the system which has long-term efficiency and productivity benefits for projects, as well as aiding with troubleshooting down the line.

The benefits:

  • Monitoring for local and remote operators, increasing the mobility of the workforce, and decreasing response time
  • Rapid communication of system faults, meaning plants can retain efficiency, reduces downtime and cost for restoration
  • Custom reports can be created with the system’s real time data acquisition and the SCADA reporting module – giving rise to scope for efficiency and performance statistics
  • Our SCADA designs include a document viewing tool for ease of sharing and storing relevant documents such as layout drawings, operator manuals, FDS etc. As all users have access to view these documents it’s effortless to stay on top of revision control Integrated with ISA 18 alarm management compliance, the SCADA carries a custom alarm notification profile that allows email-alerts be sent to designated personnel
  • A user-friendly interface to allow a clear and easy to view presentation of the system information for the operators
  • Remote connection to the system that can be managed by a secure integrated VPN connection and a security base role-allocation for user accounts.
Emulation
Emulation

To properly evaluate the latest Robson Handling Technology innovations, our Emulation software and design experts collaborate to create a custom-fit Emulation area.

This allows our customer to see the actual system in action without causing the live system to be disrupted.

By using virtual commissioning, faster testing and more reliable system validation is achieved, resulting in a simplified installation phase and fewer redesign concerns during installation.

This means we have the ability to fine-tune the system and identify areas for improvement along the way.
